I have a 2wd 89 Silverado, want it to be a daily driver but also want to club road race it once or twice a month. I'd like to try something a little different such as use a supercharged v6. From what brief research I did it looks like the 3800 might be one of the few options. I'm looking for ANY suggestions and or opinions. Thanks in advance. Chris

You could do the 3.8 Series supercharged motor s but I bet the fuel supply and computer/ecm might make it very hard. Same with headers.
What about a turbo 4.3 or stroke and bore it. Add some killer heads and cam.
I would even bet a few 3.8 turbo motors have been in S10 not sure about a 1/2 ton.
I saw a roots supercharger/blower for the Chevy 229 V6 I think it would work on a 4.3.
Also don't forget about the in-line 6s of the past.

as to what rowdy said most likely stick with the v style sixes espesially the 3800 wether in supercharged or naturally aspirated form they produce a good amount of hp (although not like an 8) but they quite an aftermarket.
