Hey guys,
I've got an LS1 '03 Corvette coupe with stock heads/cam. I've done some bolt-ons: Halltech Stinger air intake, 160 thermo, Kooks LT headers, Kooks High-flow cats, Kooks X-pipe, Corsa exhaust, and 3.42 rear-end diff. Lately I've heard all the rage of the L92 heads and I was curious if these heads would fit an LS1 motor. If so, what are the items needed for the install..will the valves need to be changed out, I know that I'm going to go with a 228-232/114 lsa cam with a 3200 stall, 42 lb fuel injectors, LS2 timing chain and I'll probably just shim the oil pump.
I've thought about LPE heads, but the L92 have grabbed my attention based on their flow numbers and of course the price seems fairly reasonable.
Your thoughts!
Thanks in advance

Sorry, but the bore on the LS1 is to small to clear the valves on the heads. The LS2 cars can run them just fine with the matching intake manifold, but us LS1 guys are out in the cold for the time being.
There is a rumor that GM Performance Parts has developed, or is developing, an L92 that will fit the LS1 stock bore, and have similar flow numbers. As far as that goes, I don't know, but I would keep my eyes peeled for more information on it.

If I was in the market for cylinder heads, I wouldn't get anything other than a set of Trick Flow heads. They have made some outstanding numbers on engines tested by LS1tech sponsors.
They are pricey, but don't require any porting to get the outstanding performance like some of the other new castings. I have seen LPE heads make great numbers as well, but this is just my personal opinion.
I wouldn't overlook ported LS6 heads either if you are on a budget. Just make sure they will make good power with your cam size selection.
