lt4 with high rpm miss

I noticed a side bar in this months issue referring to a high rpm miss on the new project car and was wondering if it had been fixed yet and if so, what the problem was.
My problem...
My 1996 LT4 vette w/ 80k miles developed a little miss a couple of months ago. I really didn't pay too much attention to it as I was already planning to do a full ignition change. Well with the work complete (new MSD opti, MSD wires, MSD coil, MSD 6AL, plugs, module) I still have a (intermittent!!!) miss. It only occurs between 5500-6500rpm (not the same rpm every time) lasts for a fraction of a second, and the engine keeps pulling to redline like nothing ever happened. I have checked my connections, checked for arcing, bypassed the 6AL, checked fuel pressure, and beat my head violently against a brick wall , and come up with nothing !!
The car has had an intermittent rich condition since I bought it and I suspect leaky injector(s) and will be replacing them soon. I hope that there could be a conection between the two. I have completely run out of ideas and have consulted with a couple of old school mechanics and left them scratching their heads. I should mention that the car is mildly modified...HOT cam (springs were supposedly changed too)headers, custom tune, bolt ons......
Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

An installation error on the harmonic balancer/March underdrive pulley caused my LT1's high rpm mis. Optisparks are very sensitive to crankshaft harmonics given their location and mechanics. There are several other possibilities that can cause a high rpm mis such as the valve springs, injectors and fuel pump. I addressed this in the new issue (hitting the stands in another couple weeks) and how I went about fixing it. The best advice I can give is (like already mentioned) to scan the computer and datalog using EFILive or TTS DataMaster. Thankfully your '96 has an OBDII computer, which has quite a bit of information available to you to help track down the problem.

I know this is an old post, but my LT1 has the identical problem. Did you solve the issue?
