L98 w/Carb

I have a 89 IROC with the original L98. My problem is the previous owner removed the TPI and put a carb in. Where can I get the TPI or should I just drop in a 350 crate motor?  

You'll probably need the entire injection unit, the engine and perhaps chassis wire harness, the high pressure in tank fuel pump, possibly the tank and all the vapor recovery stuff, computer, etc. Depending on what was done when someone converted to a carb, this could be quite a project.

I think the first thing is do a survey of what's there and what's not. This may take the purchase of some good books for this car like the factory Helms manuals and perhaps a local person who is well up on the L-98.

Once you understand what's needed, then you can start shopping. E-bay is a source as is your local auto recycler. It may be possible to work a deal with the recycler for all the goodies you need. The last thing you want is to peice-meal this together as it's pretty complex.
