can't make it to the dealership to have my oil changed so i took it to my reqular mechanic. should i have him put in the synthetic that the cap says or is regular oil ok? (please be advised i know nothing about cars so if i don't understand some turms you'll know why

Synthetic is what GM calls for.

Do what the manufacturer's recommendation and you can't go wrong. If the cap says use "SYNTHETIC OIL" then synthetic it is!
