I have a 2006 6.0L Vortech from a 2500 GMC Sierra.
I am looking for some clarification on the difference between a forced limited power and limp home mode.
What types of problems will cause a forced limited power situation?  I know that a problem with the ETC can cause this situation.  Can an ABS issue also be the cause?  Any info will be helpfull!

Well it should throw codes telling what is causing faults... You can then gather from there what would cause it. ABS CAN cause issues, My camaro mysteriously slows up by.3 tenths if i pull the ABS fuse, and comes right back once the fuse is back in. It has to be a major issue like trans problems, or overheating etc that will shut it down and run in limp home. As i said, it should show some kinda of trouble code pointing u in the general direction of the issue.
