I dont know how many of you have ever seen the movie Who Killed the Electric Car, but its ends with GM stopping production on the EV1 which I thought was a great little car. Reading this article on Chevrolet.com about the new Concept Chevy Volt makes it look like the electric car is back with a vengeance. What differs from the EV1 to the Volt is the Volt has fuel in the car to charge the battery if you are driving and your battery's begin to run out. Running on E85 Ethenal or Biodiesel this car does not depend on petroleum fuel at all.

Do you thing a car like this will change our depency on petroleum fuel? Or do you think this car will be bashed my the oil company's and driven to the grave?
