engine miss

i have a1994 cadillac fleetwood,with a LT-1 engine, traction control, 4l60-e, trans,and optispark ignition system,the engine misses at mid range,to hi rpm,and traction control lite comes on. i read in a forum,once before,that reflashing the computer to read 0 degrees ignition timing in traction control phase should take care of this problem.i can't seem to find this article can anyone help in my search.
