I AM SURE THAT SOMEONE HAS DONE THIS ALREADY. I AM THINKING ABOUT TRYING THIS OUT. I AM THINKING THAT A 400 PLUS CI WITH TWO 66 TURBOS. THIS WILL BE A STREET CAR RUN SOMETIME AT THE TRACK. SOMEWHERE NORTH OF 700 HORSEPOWER. IF SOMEONE COULD SEND SOME PICS OF THEIR MOTOR. I AM INTERESTED TO SEE WHERE YOU MOUNTED THE TURBOS, I AM HEADING TOWARDS THE STS SYSTEMS. IT SEEMS LIKE HAVING THEM IN THE BACK WILL ONLY HELP MORE IN THE COOLING. FROM WHAT I HAVE READ THERE ISN'T ANY MORE LAG HAVING THEM IN THE BACK.
TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK OF THAT?

I to own a 1987 Monte Carlo SS and have plans to restore and modify it. In response to your question about a twin turbo LS1 application there was a featured article in Popular Hot Rodding Magazine about 6-9 months ago, in 2007 that featured a white 1970 Chevelle with a twin turbo LS1 engine. It had a nice write-up and lots of pictures that you are asking for. The 1970 Chevelle and our 1987 SS's had almost identical chassis layouts (lets not split hairs about suspension geometries, clearances etc.) and these pictures should. The article was called "Positive Manifold Displacement", put about 650BHP to the wheels and 10s quarters at over 130mph. Enjoy John

Further to my earlier response to CHEVYS10 regarding the twin turbo LS1 for the Monte Carlo SS. Small correction. The car is a 1971 Chevelle, not a 1970 Chevelle as I thought. The Popular Hot Rodding Magazine article is called "The Power of Positive Manifold Pressure". Go to the Popular Hot Rodding Magazine home page, click FEATURES and go to the 2nd or 3rd page. They have some nice pictures of the engine compartment. As before, enjoy.
