posi rearend for 77 Monte Carlo

I am thinking of buying an Auburn 8.5 posi unit and installing it in my 77 Monte Carlo housing that had a 2.65 limited-slip unit originally. Does anyone know of any problems that I will have and will the posi-unit fit in my housing using the existing axles?
