Not new to the game.

Joined the old F-body mailing list in 1997 and f-body.org way back when.  What ever happened to Rob-whats-his-face anyway...?  Rob Guy, Tony Rose, Chris Cooley, John Campbell, and so many more that regularly contributed to both.

Remember the old f-body timeslips page...?  That top 10 stayed fairly static for a LONG time and now folks run those numbers in mildly-modded daily drivers.  We've come a long way.

Been on Jason's board since 1999 I think and on a few others ever since that have a mainly f-body/GM EFI theme.

I've been a fan of Turbo Buicks since '90 or so when I helped a former co-worker, Maj Steven Yates, with his '87 GN.

Remember the race for the quickest and/or fastest 'real' LT1.  There were allegations a carb'd LT1 wasn't real so a 9oh was invalid until a real LT1 running a LT1 intake manifold did it.  Imagine if we tried using that same mentality to the LSx crowd.  'No, you didn't set the record becaus that intake uses an elbow instead of a FAST, LS6....'.  You get my point...?

I'm here to see if sanity exists at GMHTP HQ or not.  I still see 9-sec cars with no safety equipment featured and to my knowledge no sanctioned track in the country can legally allow such to make a pass.  I've hammered on that before and will continue to do so.  Maybe the mag can come off its 'LSx is the only thing worth reporting' mantra that must echo through the hallway there.

Only time will tell.  Either that or the staff can start lobbying the government for us to get tax incentives or deductions to suppliment costs when trying to afford LSx stuff.  I personally think it's now cheaper to build a big-block than an LSx.

Lets see what kind of trouble I can stir up....
