A few years ago i bought a 89 GTA at a yard sale for $3500. It was the T-tops that did it. Plus the car was in great shape body and interior wise. Little did i know what a nightmare is was in store for with all the driveability issues. I've dumped over a grand into the engine just to make it driveable (no mods) and now it's latest malfunction is low oil pressure plus it won't idle and backfires terribly.
I've decided to cut my losses and install a LT1 out of a 93 police cruiser. I'm 2/3 of the way of having it rebuilt. Does anyone out there know the name of the GM High Tech Performance article which covers the step by step procedure for doing this swap? Remember, i'm taking out a L98 and hoping to install a LT1.
I'm appealing to all you Hard Core GM fans out there. I haven't given up on GM yet, but i'm starting to feel the "Stang withdrawls" coming on. GM fan wannabe
