Depends on what you are looking for. Street cruiser or dragstrip runner? The good all around cams are the lt4 hotcam or the compcams 503. They make around 400-430 horses with a good set of heads. I have an lt4 hotcam that is un-used in the box. New they go for 190.00 bucks. I will sell it for 150.00 and you pay the shipping

im not a big fan of any off the shelf cam, your best bet is to call crane and talk to them about the goals you have for your car, and what mods you have, what mods you have pland, how you drive the car etc.... and let them grind you a cam, you can ask for jerry@ crane he will hook you up and knows LT=x engines.

I also am looking for a cam install for 96 lt1 auto trans in a vette, mileage 53k it is stock now. I am looking for a cruiser with some attitude; I was thinking of the gm hot cam kit and edelbrock rpm extreme heads and intake.?? I know this might be old news to alot of you out there but it is all new to me. I have never had a hotrod car before, I love reading about all cars and now I feel like I found something I was missing in my life;  working on a cool car and driving it. I am waiting to join the hotrod community.. I live in dallas and any info on a good speed shop would also be greatly appreciated...Thank you for your time..
