i have put a 97 lt1 in a 70 chevelle ss what headers will fit the f body headers will not.

The exhaust ports and header bolt pattern for a LT1 are the same as a SBC 350. You should be able use your regular headers for a SBC for the Chevelle.

Also make sure that the headers you get are d-port. All lt1 heads are d-port.

You can still use round or oval port headers with the D-port heads. Will not hurt anything.
