I recently had a security issue with my 2000 Z28 that required me to take it to the dealership to fix the problem, myself not having the proper tools and equipment. The 1st dealership acted like they wanted nothing to do with the car and that it was going to cost tons to fix. The 2nd dealership, while they fixed the problem, left grease all over the shifter and console. I also got the car back with rear bumper damage that wasn't there when I dropped it off. I brought it to the dealerships attention, but they said that the damage had nothing to do with them and everything to do with a bad paint job (I just had the bumper painted the month before). The damage that was there could not have happened unless someone or something hit it. My question being, is this how GM dealerships are treating their customers and their customers vehicles? Has anyone else run into this problem with a GM dealership? I'm a life long, GM owner and I was thinking of purchasing a new Cobalt SS but I'm honestly at the point where I may never buy another GM product if this is how they treat their customers.

Just don't make the mistake of buying a Ford. I had a Ranger and I loved it but I had so many things break on it and I had to brink it in twice for recalls. Never again will I make that mistake.

its pretty common, some just don't care, they give a bad name to the ones that actually to give a *** makes us that care about the customers look really bad and have to work twice as hard to earn your trust

It sucks how that works. It take 5 minutes to destroy a name but years to rebuild it. And sometimes you can never get your reputation back.

I wouldn't attribute that to it being a GM dealership, just a bad shop. There are lawyers who only handle these types of cases since its so often warranties are denied or a car is damaged such as yours. We would like to think that a GM dealership is held to a higher standard than your average shop, but then again maybe that is why they are closing down so many dealerships (weeding out the bad eggs). I hope everything works out for you.
