g,day i hav a 88 gta with a l98 350 and am looking to rebuild the motor stroke it out to 383 and hopefully make about 400 hp at the flywheel is this achivable while maintaining streetability and where can i get the parts to do this will the stock drive line be up to the job and will i hav to change the injection set up to a diferent type other then tpi

Yes you will most likely need a aftermarket injection setup.www.northernautoparts.com,or www.summitracing.com. what is the casting numbers on the heads then I could recomend some parts toget you to your goal.

Plenty of people runing TPI on 383.
BUT; you need intake mods to get best from it.
Big tubes , siamised or aftermarket base.Because of the bottom end torque from 383/TPI combo you need to be able to harness it otherwise you will be going up in smoke.

A 350 to a 383 will need more fule and more air. Atleast go to larger runners, beter fuelinjectors and fuelpump, and have the new 383 dynotuned. The computor is set up for a 350 not a 383.
