beehive springs into lt1

hi i just wanted to find out from anybody who has knowledge about installing the beehive springs into a 96 lt1 ss impala.is it as simple as installing them with new rockers and go or do they have to be shimed or what? im planning on doing a rocker/spring upgrade into my ss and i need some help thanx
