Looking for a little help with gauges on a ls1 swap.  I'm one of those old guy that thinks a hei distributor is new age electronics.  I have my ls1 engine in and running great but I don't have temp and oil pressure gauges in yet and I'm little nervous to run it very long until I can monitor the engine.  I'm not sure the fans are working right because they have not come on yet after about 5 mins.and thats longest I have let it run.  How is the best way to hookup electric  oil and temp gauges. speedo and tach?  Do they run off the computer or what I dont think so
!  I feel I can't remove the stock sending units from the temp because I think it should control the fans.   And the oil pressure do I remove the sending unit try a mechanical I have an Auto meter electric    any help would be appreciated.  John
