after some research i have been unable to find out if i can put a ls1 intake manifold on my ls4. the reason im looking to do this is because if that fits then a supercharger will fit. i feel my 2006 monte carlo ss is just plain underpowered and i dont want the turbo kit thats out there. i need to give it power it deserves.
please help out this beautiful ride:
thanks,
Adam

Has anyone ever done a LS1-LS4 intake manifold swap? Or does anyone have any other suggestion on how inssanity21 can get his supercharger to fit?

I was curious about  upgrading the intake manifold on the ls4 in my '06 impala ss, the folks at jeggs said ls1 intake manifolds are compatible w/ the ls4, so if you trust them. . .

Call Edelbrock and see if they can help you out. I'm pretty sure they make manifolds for a 06 Monte Carlo SS.

no wont fit because of the DOD oil sending unit goes down right where the throttle body hooks up so if you look at the ls4 manifold it is a d shape port. the manifold will fit if you re route the sending unit for dod or just get rid of it all together

How can we just remove the dod sending unit and will it hurt anything?

I took a look at LS1tech.com and the site doesn't look that great, but why do you think the forums are so active?

The ls4 intake is backasswards compared to the other lsx motors. There is a guy on ls1tech.com that is working on a ls6 intake for our cars.  Get the turbo.
