LT1 engine conversion to carb and standard dist

hi, new to the forum and I have a question
I recently purchased a 95 LT1 with cast iron heads
I am an auto tech, however have not worked on domestic engines  my field is import
my question is , what do I need to do to convert this engine to carb, and standard dist, as I am doing a porsche v8 conversion project
I know I have to change the timing cover , where the factory dist is,
but will I have difficulty finding manifold, carb setups for this engine,
