hey guys! Happy to be here. I hope I can get the answers to my questions. LOL What info can you guys give me about the new Silverado? Its an 07 5.3 z71. Has anybody had any luck modding these trucks? So far I did the AirAid CAI, TB spacer, the MAFS no longer has the screen in it, and a Super 44 flomaster muffler. I had a DiabloSport tuner on it, but hated it. Im looking at getting a custom Street tune soon. Im curious about a cam swap. perhaps porting the heads? Long tubes? I would do a SC or Turbo but thats to much cash. has anybody done these mods? I live at a 5500 elevation, so i need as much power as I can get, without spending crazy money. How do these motors compare to the corvette motors. are any of the parts interchangable? Does anybody know the specs on this motor? thanks guys

I wouldn't worry about porting the heads but a cam swap would help out a ton!
My advice, find a tuner/builder in your area that your are comfortable with and start building a plan. There are tons of great cam builders in the LSx arena but you have to figure out your goals first.

Thanks! I just found one. Its Scotty's southwest corvettes, here in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Looks like he is well informed on the LS motors and does custom tunes. He knows these motors in and out, he can also do the cam swap for me. I cant wait! Ill post the results as soon as I get everything installed.
