I just received my new pages of GMHTP and there is a very nice feature of Fastlane's TBSS. The SUV is well thought out and well put together. I knew a lot about this Turbo SUV long before it was featured. A nice feature before this one was I think TuneTimePerformance's TBSS. I don't remember the ET's of theirs but both articles and features were very nice and well put together.
All my work from mechanics to tuning and electronics is done by RPM in Garner N.C. These guys house the #1 fastest and quickest TBSS in the Country. It is even noted in the Fastlane article that they are the second fastest. Why not feature "the" fastest? The driver/owner of the quickest/fastest TBSS is Martin Cox and he also owns the record for nitrous stock suspension car. I could be mistaken but I think those guys at RPM with Martin Cox have been 8.11 1/4 mile, one of their cars at 5.07 1/8 mile, and on 275 drag radials. I've also read 1.18 sixty foots. From what I've read about the TBSS, it's been 1.24 sixty and 9.06 in the 1/4 mile and fully streetable with 4 seats and the radio jammin' away. It is also my understanding that the nitrous stock suspension record held by RPM and Martin Cox has been in place for a year now. I read my magazine cover to cover and have seen no mention of such in GMHTP.
As a fan of both the magazine and the people who work on my car, where's the love for the top dogs in the country?

Thank you for the warm welcome obvious employee of GMHTP. I request you forgive me for my disgruntlement. I've recently learned that there was a 2-3 hour photo shoot from you guys back in '07 at the LSX Shootout in Memphis when RPM & Martin Cox went a 10.61 but was thrown out of competition due to no roll cage. I've learned that at the '08 LSX Shootout RPM & Cox ran a best of 9.21 in the TBSS and all legal this time and GMHTP was all over it. Here we are pushing the '09 LSX Shootout and there has yet to be a feature in your magazine with the WORLD'S QUICKEST/FASTEST TBSS on the planet or the 275 drag radial Camaro that's kicking ass and taking names. From my point of view, I see a top notch magazine giving props to second rate accomplishments. Should such a pristine magazine not go after a most pristine shop/business as well? I will never have the money to do with my car as I would like to do. It will never be as fast as I want it to be because of my budget but I'm currently one of the quickest/fastest I can be with the mods I have and I owe it all to RPM. I'm slowly loosing faith and respect for your magazine for various reasons.

KillaZ,
I wouldn't lose faith and respect over a couple of 'missed' features. We recently ran a very nice story on the RPM Built C6 Z06 ('What Lies Beneath', Sept. 09), which is the fastest C6 Z06 in the country. RPM and Crew build some killer cars and we always try our best to spotlight the best shops and builders in the country!
Please, keep reading the magazine and check out some upcoming issues. I am not sure on the status of those two particular cars, but I can assure you that we will continue to cover the very best cars in the GM High Tech world.
Thanks,
Justin

That was a very nice feature and article on the fastest C6 Z06 built by Race Proven Performance located in DELAWARE. I had laid this to bed as enough said but Justin, your obliviousness to the rest of the world has rekindled the fire. RPM in GARNER, North Carolina. RPM as in Ryan's Performance Machines/ RPM Motorsports.

To date, the TBSS has been 9.06 and the stock suspension nitrous Camaro SS has been 8.11 both 1/4 mile times. The TBSS has set and held records since it was ran at the track on day 1. The stock suspension record has been held by RPM for a year now at 8.21 and bettered it with the 8.11 a few months ago.

Are you sure about that?
Call me a groupie but respect is due.

KillaZ,
Sorry! I realized last night that I had referenced the wrong shop - Glad you read here and called me on it. Please understand that we only have so much space in the magazine, we can't possibly cover EVERY cool LSX at the same time!
Anyway, Scott is out of the office, but I will ask him to give me an update on the shoots GMHTP did of that truck last year. I am not sure if we are waiting for a certain issue or what, maybe it is in-line.
Either way, will you be at the LSX Shootout this year? I suspect we will see both cars again?

Rest assured, we are working on it. We are well aware of RPM's accomplishments, they were the talk of the town at the first LSX Shootout, hence Justin's mention of that truck in the Fastlane story (out of respect).
