Hi all. I have a 2002 GMC Sierra SLT with a 5.3L. I just came across a LS4 cam with titanium springs from an 2004 'Vette with 30k miles on it. The guy is having other upgrades done to it which allowed me to buy the cam and springs fairly cheap!
I was informed before the purchase from an engine builder that the LS4 cam and springs will fit into my engine to give it a boost along with having it tuned by someone. Is it true that the cam and springs fit, also i was told to look for a LT intake manifold for it as well as it will fit the 5.3L. If true, what vehicles would i look for to find the intake?  THX.

don't bother with an intake, it won't make a difference until you're pushing in excess of 450hp, as for the cam, its not a huge upgrade from your stocker, don't plan on beating Fbodies and vettes

proper tuning, the right stall converter (gen III's don't make tons of power below 3500rpms) and gearing would get you a looooooong way
