Okay long story short I have a built 383 LT1. Garage caught fire burnt all wiring and rubber lines, hoses, etc. So I had all painless perfect kit and so on. Well Im putting the motor into and 1976 Corvette and do not want to spends thousands again to get all new sensors, lines, optispark. So I want to just swap it to carb and go. I have the intake, oil dist hole plug, HEI Dist, and carb. But my question is what do I do for Ignition timming of this motor? Can anyone please help me out here. Also it has roller rockers I pulled the engine apart after the fire to check it out only had about 100 miles on it and am now triing to reassembly can I just put cyl 1 on tdc and then cyl 6 on tdc and torque the roller rockers down to 18ft lbs? THANKS so much in advance.
