I have a 2004 chevy silverado ext cab with the 5.3L. im trying to get more power out of it but im not sure where to start. as of now it has a K&N filter and exhaust. I've been told i can do a intake and throttle body swap but to what? anything will help thanks.

The 5.3 is a very potent engine with plenty of upgrades available. A new cold air intake would help, along with a throttle body swap. Your biggest gains would be from switching the stock exhaust manifolds out for some long-tube header that would match up to your existing exhaust. Other than that, you should look into having a custom tune written for your truck on the dyno, which will not only help with power but your transmission as well.

get a 98-99 LS1 Cam and the long tube headers w/ throttle body upgrade and MAFS upgrade cai and good catback, then have it custome tuned should get dam near 400 hp from that and be real docile for the street, this is the setup im gonna have tuned very soon

I have a 2001 chevy tahoe with the 5.3L and so far i have added flowmaster super 40 dual exhaust and k&n coldair intake and i am still wanting more power but not sure what to do next. Any ideas would help alot.
