Have you ever argued with someone who was insanely wrong, but didn't think they were and blindly stood with their stance even after been showed a mountain of evidence? It's super frustrating now isn't it? I mean, no matter what you do, you can't show them the light. You wish you could find some way to show them that they are wrong, but you can't seem to do it. Well I was there, and I've found a way to show the guy. He's a member here, has been for 2 months, and his screenname is ronbunch1.

Basically, it all started on youtube. We've all seen the comments on those videos, people with roidrage going crazy about nothing. This is no different.

It started here. http://www.youtube.com/comment_servlet?all_comments=1&v=7rYmJcTgQ9c

Now before I go on, let me state while I'm a Ford guy, I'm essentially an everything guy. I just prefer Fords. That said, I'll continue.

It started by me stating the new 5.0 DOHC is not a mod motor. After being told it was, I did some research and came to the conclusion it was. After stating so, it grew.

Basically, Ronbunch1 thinks anything without pushrods (exactly how he defines it) is a modular motor. He specifically stated that Isuzu has been making mod motors, and that even the legendary LT5 from the ZR1 is a modular motor. After many attempts to correct him, he basically has gone from that to thinking I never the Mustang had a mod motor, and that I know nothing about them.

After being a member of SVTP for many years, I'm a decently long way from knowing nothing about them. I'm not saying I'm an expert (he thinks I think I am, after stating I said I was a master tech), but I'm not dense enough to think that any OHC motor is a modular motor.

That said, I'll leave you with some quotes from ronbunch1.

@KHirschi YOU ARE AS RETARDED AS THEY COME DUDE..I HAVE EXPLAINED MANY TIMES TO YOU WHAT A MODULAR ENGINE IS..NOW KEEP TWISTING THE WORDS AND TRYING TO CLUSTER *** THE WHOLE TOPIC..I TOLD YOU WHAT IT WAS AND THATS WHAT IT IS .MODULAR IS FORD ONLY??HAHAHA ISUZU HAS MADE THEM SINCE 91-92 AND THATS JUST 1 EXAMPLE..YOU? DIDNT EVEN KNOW MUSTANG HAD A MOD MOTOR AND YOU LOST ALL CREDIBILITY AT THAT MOMENT...YOU HAVE BEEN EXPOSED

@5LiterRapesCAMAROaSS Modular is certainly not ford only!!!you needed corrected dude cause thats stupid to think that!!!!Isuzu has been making modular engines since 93 gm LT5 was modular and so on&so? on&so on....you better ask someone that knows!!nearly all manufacturers make modular engines now!!!!....

@5LiterRapesCAMAROaSS FORDS ONLY??? LMFAOHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA HAHAHA

@5LiterRapesCAMAROaSS ? gm has a modular engine??you just said it was ford only..LMFAO..you dont know *** pal!!

Evidentally ALL manufacturers make modular motors now, ha!

@5LiterRapesCAMAROaSS only gm v8 was lt5 many manufacturers make modular engines? ford isnt the only modular engine manufacturer

To sum it up, this kid (and I can only deduct that he is a kid based on his confidence with his lack of knowledge) thinks that OHC motors, or motors without pushrods, are Modular motors. He believes that modular is a configuration, not that OHC is a configuration, and not an engine family.

Ron, you invited me to do this. I hope you like what's coming. As I said, if this gets deleted, and I get banned, I hope you'll join me on SVTP at this link:

modular is ford only???hahaha No one else builds modular engines???hahaha..i have provided you with all the proof on WIKIPEDIA-MODULAR ENGINES but you chose to voice your opinions here in front of a group of your peers instead of simply read the proof and im thankful you chose to ignore the facts as stated at WIKIPEDIA-MODULAR ENGINES..it plainly states Volkswagon,ford,isuzu,nissan,bugotti,renault and many other manufacturers build 'modular engines'and thet are all labeled 'modular'also..four days ago the guy im repling to was in a heated arguement professing''mustang does not have a modular engine'' i would be more than happy to post his statement if yall would like a great laugh..i have saved it to my favorites in case he deleted it..tell mustang man here where to take his mumbling too
