hey guys, do you know of any long tube headers, or any header at all that will give me more power, and torque. i looked at the stainless works long tube headers, but i dont wanna spend near that amount of money. looking for some that will have a pretty easy installation. i can do cutting and welding if i need to. i dont want to spend more then 400 bucks.

truck is a 2000 gmc sierra SLT 5.3L vortec 1500

Auble,

Any long-tube or mid-length header will help your truck immensely. Typical gains should be in the 15-30rwhp range and even more with some quality tuning. An under-drive pulley will also help free up some power, you can look at SLP for a couple of options.
