I have come across an engine I believe is an LFA . I know this only because someone who knows told me. It is a 6.0 out of a hybrid  denali. I am wanting to carb it and put it in a 66 nova. My question is what has to be changed to make this work? and how expensive will this be?

You can either:

a) do nothing to the motor, purchase a compatible ECM, wiring harness, intake manifold, and sensors (including for the gas pedal/electronic throttle).

b) start getting your hands dirty: first, get rid of those DOD lifters and valley cover, and switch to LS7/CTS-V race/Comp/Lunati lifters and a regular LS2/LS3 cover. Upgraded pushrods wouldn't be a bad idea either. Judging by the timing cover, I'd say you do in fact have VVT. You can either leave it alone, check out an aftermarket VVT cam kit from COMP or Mast, or convert it to a fixed cam (new single bolt cam, timing set, cam bolt, and timing cover). If you are using an earlier style factory PCM or most aftermarket engine management systems, you'll need to go with a traditional fixed cam. If it were my motor/Nova, I would send the motor to Mast and have them install their VVT cam kit, and send the motor back with a tuned ECM and wiring harness.
