Electric-Life Fbody Power Window Motors?

The driver side window motor in my 2002 Z28 has stopped working altogether and the passenger side motor is getting slow.  How do you guys like the new units you got from Electric-Life that were installed in the Formula project car?

I haven't had to replace the motors in the Z28 until now, but I have installed factory replacements in several of my old fbodies and they are always disappointingly slow and seemed weak, even when new.

Any input is appreciated, thanks!

No issues, the OEM replacements may be a bit easier to install. I'd price them both out and see, which makes sense. The Electric Life units really excel for conversions, converting a crank/manual window to electric. You can even use their switches to make a custom switch panel instead of the boring stock ones.

i took a look...

new original motors are available..
Original window regulators are also available..

reman original motors are also available..

after market motors are available new and in complete window regulators..

on thing that always helps properly using white lithium grease on the various sliding parts..

you might also want to look carefully at the window switches..  if you are good with small parts...   you can lay the switch out on a light colored towel..  take it apart and clean the contacts...  them snap it back together..    the automatic up switches you cannot do this to...

most of these newer window regulators are riveted in...  with 1/4" special expanding rivets.. set by big lever riveters..

i have not tried to take these window motors apart.. but most of the time.. there is grease that has spread out over the commutator.. so a proper cleaning can restore them. but these are sort of crimped together..

if you are going to do it your self.. be sure that the flanged bolts that come with the replacement motors are properly tightened...
