I've teased you guys for about a week on the new snout for the cog drive. I am sure many were wondering how many seconds the cog would last until it snapped off. This is the solution designed by Steve Addison of SNL Performance. Snout problems and belt slipping are problems of the past.

Okay, so me n Radio was sittin around SNL the other day, kinda thinkin up things to do. I handed my beer over to Radio and said "hold my beer Bubba and watch this". So I went over to the phone and called GForce1320 and ordered a 9 inch rear end with a Moser pumkin, 3:50 gears, and a 35 spline Wave Trac upgrade.

Parts have started arriving and the first received was the housing. Thought I'd follow along with it as we install it. First up was strengthening and modifying the stock control arms.

We also started the next phase of the engine tuneup, receiving the Nitrous Kit

Bend over, touch your toes, me n Ethyl will show ya where the wild weasel goes. Shaping up to be an interesting dyno day on the 29th at SNL in Haslett, providing we don't barbeque Phoenix on the dyno tuning it.

Damned injectors were so big we had to take the bl;ower off to get them on. Everything is on and buttoned up, waiting for Matt to tune it. E85 conversion complete except the tuning.

At this point the 8 each 221 lb injectors are sucking the A1000 fuel pump dry. And, this is at 23 pounds of boost that holds and doesn't bleed off like before. Looking at a larger pump but at 969 to the wheels, we are more than likely around 1200-1300 to the flywheel, considering the 15 inch wide and 28.5 inch tall wheels and tires along with the ford 9 inch rear end and 3.50 gears.

We are starting to look for a real motor as the LQ9 was only built to go around 1500 to the flywheel according to TSP. Thinking an LSx at around 440 Ci with 427 heads will help us get the boost on up to 30 psi.

Major problem now is those parts that only theoretically could go to this level  but puked when confronted with reality. No major issues, just some redesign. We expect to be back up with the redesigned parts around the middle of December. The cradle for the cogs, the belts, the water pump and the 9 inch are all terrific.

You cannot imagine what a set of cojones it takes to push the red switch.
