More hp and torque

I have a 2000 Gmc sierra im running a 5.3 i am wanting to get more horsepower and torque out of it. Any advice or suggestions?

Bore it out, forced induction, longer stroke, and change cam to change where your torque peak occurs. Your hp is directly related to torque. At least this is the advice given to me by one of the mechanics at David Stanley. Unless you operate at higher RPMs with sufficient airflow through the intake/heads/valves you can't get more HP w/o increasing torque.

It depends on your pocket book. Horse Power has and will always cost money....
Street/Stripe, Towing ???? Some help. Do not use a longer then stock rod on the street. You will only have problems down the road...

I'm guessing you have a 1500. They didn't have a real pulling gear in the rear gear. You may have a 3:42 gear or less. If you went to a 3:70 or 3:90 rear gear ratio you would feel a difference in power. But we are talking about a truck the is soon to be 13 years old. I would make sure the engine could handle any upgrades.

cat back exhaust, bully dog tuner cheapest way to go. fresh air intake to. add a set of e3 sparkplugs , yes they worked for me I have a 4.8
