Im looking at the carbureted intake for my ls1 in my 2000 camaro. Has anybody else installed this? Im wondering about clearance issues will an air cleaner fit?

there are carb intake bonnets available... lets you install a remote air filter... less than 3 inches of clearance needed above the carb filter mounting surface... perhaps 2 1/2" needed...
most manifolds have a measurement available.. from the top of the block between the heads to the carb mounting surface... so you can calculate how much room you have over the top of the intake for a carb...
which brand intake were you thinking of?????
it will be on the manufacturers web site or catalog description page...

Im looking at edelbrock from jegs part #350-7118. It doesnt give you any measurements.
