ive got a 2010 silverado with the 6.2 in it. I put long tube headers (no cats) with magnaflow mufflers and it sounds like crap. It sounds worse than a glass pack! Does anybody know what kind of muffler will give me a muffler sound not the cackle sound?

I've always had good luck with Corsa and Stainless Works. I also like SLP's PowerFlo line, the Loudmouth I and II are a little too rowdy for my taste.

I am looking for a company to custom make exhaust tail pipe for my car. They must be stainless steel. Does anyone know of a company that does that?

I know exactly what your saying. It's noisey almost like a deisel engine with big pipes just a nasty noise it's not a sound because we gear-heads like engines that make nice MUSIC ..LOL....It is deafening.
Maybe if you put a little back pressure on the exhaust system it will break up the sound waves enough to get rid of that LOUD RASPY NASTY NOISE. My 2 cents maybe by taking the two cats off those sound waves just won't slow enough to break up that raspy nasty sound. Maybe if you put an H-PIPE or X-PIPE in will help the bottom end torque. It's also possible that when GM designed the exhaust they took those two cats into consideration.
Case in point. I still have my 1963.5 Ford Galaxie 500 XL P-CODE. The stock exhaust calls for a Header pipe a cross-over or H-Pipe two mufflers, and at the far back two resonators that terminate there. When I replaced the exhaust I eliminated the two resonators. The sound was so chrisp and clear. You couldn't hear the exhaust tones before. It's even better on gas...HA-HA...LOL....
