I own a 2004 GMC Sierra 1500 with a Vortec 5.3L. I would like to install a better cam and heads with a turbocharger. I'm hoping to come out around the 500 HP range without destroying my bank account. Any tips on what parts would work the best for my truck would be great.

Stay tuned for the September issue  – you can make plenty more than that with a 5.3L and a reasonable amount of money. And there are budget turbo kits on the market for the Silverado if you can't fab the system yourself.
