Strange situation, if the security light is flashing when I enter the car, all is well. However if its not flashing, car will start and just cut right out. Also when that security light is not flashing, the cluster will not come on either. What's up?

angglerg: welcome to the forum.

Did you try disconnecting the battery for a while. I like disccconecting the POsitive side. If your not in a hurry let it sit for a while. When you reconnect it because it is OBD2 it will have to relearn strategy. Not to worry it will do this while your driving.

I have a 2006 Chevy Impala and if I just lock the doors from the door switch, and not the key pad the security light flashes for a while and then goes out. Well give the battery a shot and see if that helps. It sure won't hurt.
