Learning curve...I am currently needing to buy push rods and I have no idea which length rods to buy. I found a set of LS3 lifters which I found out were the same as LS7 lifters. I did not take into account the deck milling and the cam duration 230/236. I've searched online forums and the push rod length have varied for each combination and no one listed their cam info, so I still have a missing variable. How do I figure out the needed push rod length? Measure it and then wait for the rods to come in?
Yes, you have to measure it and then order the correct push rods. Math will get you close but it is always best to measure and then order. http://www.compperformancegroupstores.com/store/merchant.mvc?Store_Code=CC&Screen=PROD&Product_Code=7905-1&Category_Code=PSHRDTLComp Cams can get you squared away for under 15-bucks.
Red2NYou will need to buy an adjustable pushrod length checker. Then you or may not need to purchase special length pushrods. Jegs should have the tool you will need. If not them Summit or Moroso...It maybe $15.00 for the length checker...Good Luck Bob
