I have 1990 GM 3.8 V6 out of a Trofeo. I want to set this engine up to run on E85 or E100 ... how much compression can this engine withstand? Also I would like to get rid of the balance shaft. The engine has been blueprinted and balanced and I would be using head studs, stock cast iron heads "O" ringed. What size fuel injectors and cam shaft would you recommend? My target horsepower is 400 and torque also 400. Is this feasible and how long would it last? Thanks for your help, Pep

well, i know ethanol likes higher compression than gasoline. i THINK you'd need bigger injectors as it requires more ethanol per gram of air to get the same power as gasoline per gram of air, research that to be sure.  IDK about losing the balance shaft or anything like that though.
