Has anybody seen one of these with work done to it? I've had mine for a few years and the only things I can find are the typical CAI, Exhaust, Tune, wheel upgrades and cosmetic work..and then there's one with a turbo kit on montecarlo forum..anyone know of anything else that can be done?

I have (2) an SS and exactley what you have. Both are 2006's. I have a friend that plays with the PCM's I've had my 3.9 to a 140 MPH. The SS does that in a heart beat. Put good tires on them.
I also have a 2005 Monte Carlo SS with the 3.8 Supercharged. I have another friend that works for a Chevy dealership. He downloaded the info from the State Police Cruiser I didn't ask him how he did that. I haven't touched a thing on any of them. Only the PCM recal.
I don't let a build up of slug get into the intake plenum.
1.You can remove the air filter even with the DBW and open the throttle wide open and spray carb clean into the very small air passages behind the throttle blade.just be carefull you don't spray the carb clean on the electrical connections.
2.Spray the MAF sensor with the proper cleaner.
3.Every oil change I use Techron in the tank.
4.Keep the filters clean. I had to put an exhaust on the 3.9 last summer. I used the flowmasters, and actually get better gas mileage, by 2.4 MPG.
5.I sent Edelbrock an Email years back. They said they won't do any dyno work on these cars. They are Family cars. Its like the squeeky wheel.
Good Luck...
